Luke St.Gold  " Demo" 1997

Italy has not produced so many AOR/MHR acts, we had Elektradrive in the 80's and a couple of acts in the 90's like Oro,Giuntini Project and Dhamm. Now Luke St.Gold is here with a demo-tape that he has put his best songs from between 1991-97. And this is a nice surprise. This demo contains 10 AOR-songs with influences from various US Aor acts. We are talking about 80's AOR with good songs. The sound of this is pretty good but there is one downside  and that is the drum machine. Let's Hope he get the chance to do a cd someday with real drums and this will be a great AOR-album. You can really hear that Luke is influenced by 80's Aor acts just hear the armony vocals on a couple of songs and the nice keyboards and guitars that makes it sound so good. He sounds very american. On side A we got 5 song by 4 is good.  Every  word you say to me is a great AOR-song with a good chorus.Love doesn't count reminds me of early Bon Jovi. For Heather is a nice piano ballad that could have been written by Night Ranger.Everyday is a weak pop/Aor-song spoiled by drum machine,  this is the only weak song on this demo.  On the B-side we find 5 good songs, the best  ones are Victim of your heart, Miss America and Sleepless Nights   and those are great  AOR-songs with a feeling of the 80's. Luke sings very clean  and he doesn't have that italian accent.  Ok,we have heard this many times before but it's good to hear some 80's AOR in the 90's too.

Luke St.Gold  10 songs demo
